M3D, Kickstarter to Debut Ground-Breaking Tech Products at World Maker Faire

85,000 faire-goers are expected to pack the New York Hall of Science in Queens, New York on Sept. 20-21, as we debut the first ever Micro 3D printers at the 2014 World Maker Faire. Everyone's invited to meet the creators and team behind the M3D operation, and watch as the first truly affordable 3D printer ($349) churns creations out of thin air.

To top it off, this is Kickstarter's first official appearance at Maker Faire. "We're really honored to be able to stand alongside other creators and to share our project with our backers in person. Thanks to them, we have the biggest crowd funded technology project on the East Coast," said Michael Armani, CEO at M3D.

The Micro became the most successful 3D printer launched on Kickstarter with more than $3.4 million raised in record time, thanks to close to 11,855 backers. Last week the company was named Best Business Newcomer at the 3D Printshow in London.

The annual World Maker Faire celebrates the best of human imagination and creativity in science, technology and art. Focused on looking towards the future, it's a gathering of tech enthusiasts, fascinating products and wildest dreams come true.

"It's going to be a great event! We are so excited to be featured in Kickstarter's mega tent as one of the most successful Kickstarters of all time. It's beyond what we could have imagined," said David Jones, President at M3D.
