Source3 and Capcom Create 3D Printed Cover Art for Street Fighter V

Product debuts at Comic-Con 2015

Source3™, the platform for licensing and distribution of 3D content, today announced a licensing agreement with Capcom® to provide 3D printed versions of the cover art for Capcom's much anticipated Street Fighter V video game, scheduled for release in March 2016.

The product will debut at the Capcom Booth, 215, starting today at Comic-Con in San Diego, CA. Fans in attendance will be able to preview and order the items from the show floor.

The cover art features well-known Street Fighter character, Ryu. This is the first time a Street Fighter character has been licensed for production via 3D printing. "Our twin goals at Source3 are bringing premium, licensed content to the 3D industries and demonstrating the power of 3D printing to brands," says Scott Sellwood, Co-Founder and VP of Business Development at Source3. "It is exciting to work with a forward-thinking creative team like Capcom to use 3D printing to connect fans to iconic characters using innovative technologies."

"Capcom is excited to offer such a unique Street Fighter collectible to all its fans, utilizing cutting edge 3D technology. This is the first of many Capcom images that will be brought to life in the amazing world of 3D printing." says Francis Mao, Senior Director, Marketing, Creative Services, Events and Licensing, Capcom, Inc. USA.

Source3 partnered with ZVerse, Inc., for their best-in-class 3D color printing technology and their proprietary Layr™ content creation platform, which converts 2D images into 3D printable models. ZVerse's technology perfectly captured the look and energy of the Street Fighter brand.
