KakaoTalk Adds Arabic to Its Extensive Language Support

Kakao Corporation, the company behind the free call and messaging app KakaoTalk, today announced its addition of Arabic, making it the 15th language supported within the service. Arabic will be available to Android users (Android Jelly Bean 4.2 and higher) supported by a reverse UI allowing the text to appear from right to left within KakaoTalk.

Chosen by more than 150 million users worldwide, KakaoTalk provides users with the opportunity to connect with friends, family and others conveniently and freely. Through this update, Kakao demonstrates its commitment to designing an interconnected and global, mobile future.

KakaoTalk's support for Arabic is a testament to Kakao's commitment to expanding its cross-platform service universally, regardless of language or geographical region. Language support for Arabic proactively addresses the rapid smartphone growth in the Middle East.

KakaoTalk is also available in English, Korean, traditional and simplified Chinese, Indonesian (Bahasa), Russian, Vietnamese, Thai, Italian, French, German, Turkish, Portuguese, and Spanish. Other features include:
