SAE International's AEI Magazine Wins APEX Award for Publication Excellence

SAE International has won an APEX Award for Publication Excellence (Magazines & Journals - Print category) for its November 2011 issue of Automotive Engineering International (AEI) magazine.

The award was given based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and success in achieving overall communications effectiveness and excellence.

"We are extremely pleased to receive this award because it represents the total process of magazine publication, from writing to design," Kevin Jost, Editorial Director for SAE International, said. "SAE International is dedicated to serving the information needs of the mobility engineering industry and AEI continues to set the standard for excellence."

The APEX Awards for Publication Excellence is an annual competition for publishers, editors, writers and designers who create print, Web, electronic and social media. The awards are sponsored by the editors of Writing That Works: The Business Communications Report. More than 3,300 entries, including 601 magazines and journals, were received from organizations nationwide.

AEI magazine covers the latest news and developments in cars, light trucks, commercial vehicles, and motorcycles. In addition to the latest news--as well as feature articles on industry trends, new technology breakthroughs, and key players--each issue of AEI includes popular departments such as:

-- Technology Report: Cutting-edge technology of today and tomorrow
