Mimaki Engineering Co.,Ltd., a leading manufacturer of wide format inkjet printers is exhibiting at SGI Dubai, the Middle East's largest and longest running event for the signage, graphic imaging, POP/Retail, screen and digital printing industries. Mimaki will be sharing a stand with its Middle East distribution partner, Signtrade International.
Mimaki will be featuring the latest technology in solvent, UV and latex printers including:
• JV400SUV, shown for the first time in the Middle East at the show. The JV400SUV prints in four colors (CMYK) at speeds of up to 18 square meters per hour. This truly unique printer combines the flexibility of solvent with the durability of UV-cured inks using innovative Mimaki inks developed specifically for this printer. In the printing process, the solvent component is absorbed by the ink-receiving layer of the media and the pigment is settled into the media. Printed ink is then cured with a UV process, resulting in a smooth, glossy appearance, which simulates coating, yet maintains the bright colors and scratch resistance expected of a solvent printer.
• JV400LX. These latex ink printers can print on a wide variety of substrates including uncoated paper using an environmentally friendly aqueous ink whose outdoor durability is equivalent to solvent ink. This includes CMYK, orange, green and white inks for a wider color gamut and the ability to produce stunning pieces on transparent or dark substrates. LX101 latex ink achieves vivid, high quality images due to its glossiness and the high density of the black ink.
