From 11 – 13 June DG press will exhibit at the Security Document World (SDW) 2019 fair in ExCeL, London. The SDW is the industry-leading exhibition and conference for security document professionals. It’s the key meeting place for government and industry, suppliers and buyers and all those involved in secure ID credentials and government-identity solutions.
With their web offset presses, DG press provides security printers a solution for printing all kinds of security documents: passports, fiscal stamps, stock certificates, brand protection labels, postage stamps, cheques, etc. For decades, DG press serves many security printers around the world: they have installed a lot of security printing machines worldwide and add value by technological improvements, production support and maintenance at privately- and state owned security printers.

In September this year DG press will deliver a new high tech Vision web offset press to the Portugese security printing company INCM. INCM is the oldest manufacturing establishment in Portugal and has a long history in the manufacturing of the Portuguese currency. The company also prints a large range of security products; e.g. identification documents, bank cards, values, diplomas and certificates. This new Vision web offset press enables INCM to increase their production capacity and improve its service significantly, whilst offering new levels of productivity and efficiency.
In January of this year, DG press installed a 43 meter Vision web offset press for the Government Print Works (GPW) in Pretoria, South Africa. The GPW has a long history of manufacturing security printed matter, offering production, finishing, packing and distribution services to all ministerial and government departments in South Africa, as well as to many other countries in Africa as well. This impressive machine is a fast make-ready web offset printing press that combines shaftless technology with an infinite range of inline options. This press is able to produce an extremely wide variety of security and government-oriented documents.
Hybrid printing
The Vision was one of the first hybrid web offset presses in history and has been constantly adapted to all developments in web offset printing. The latest version of the Vision machine is full of modern technology and meets all print industry demands. The modular design makes virtually any combination of modules possible, making it suitable for a wide variety of products.
Machine configuration can be easily changed or expanded with additional modules for die cutting, punching, mechanical and digital numbering, sheeting, etc. The “plug and print” modularity includes options to add flexographic, gravure, digital and silk screen printing stations to the web offset press.
But also options like rainbow printing, folding, hot foil / cold foil, perforation, pinfeed, sheeting / stacking, laser or die cut, inkjet module, print inspection and register & color control are possible. Protection against obsolescence and market shifts is one of the built-in benefits of the Vision press.
