PPI Europe will begin publishing a Russian containerboard price table on April 17, 2014. The release of this new quarterly price coverage was announced today by RISI, the leading information provider for the global forest products industry.
"Over the last 3 years, containerboard production in Russia has grown 4.2% each year. This is a result of rising retail sales in Russia as well as exports of containerboard to Europe," said Steven Sachoff, Editor of PPI Europe.
"We began researching the Russian containerboard market two years ago in response to a growing demand from our clients. Understanding the dynamics of Russia's growth is critical for those producing containerboard or consumer goods in adjacent markets," continued Sachoff.
When released this week, the price table will cover Q1 prices for the following grades:
Unbleached kraftliner 125 g
White-top kraftliner 125 g
Semi-chemical fluting 112 g
Testliner 2 125 g
Recycled fluting 112 g
For each grade, the table includes: the current price range, the previous quarter's price range, and the price range for the same quarter of the previous year.
The Russian containerboard price table will be accompanied by a market report. The report will provide in-depth analysis on the significant events shaping the market.
RISI's Russian-speaking editor, Irina Van den Neste, began publishing quarterly Russian reports and collecting containerboard prices in 2012.
