Oniya Shapira Installs Two HP T230 Color Inkjet Web Presses to Drive New Business Opportunities

The capabilities of the new HP T230's will enable Oniya Shapira to target new markets and produce new applications, including books and bookletsOniya Shapira, of Israel, has installed two HP T230 Color Inkjet Web Presses to fulfil the increasing demand for its transactional and direct mail printing services and capitalise on new business opportunities.

The HP T230 Color Inkjet Web Press prints at up to 122m/min (400ft/min) in four colours on web widths from 203 to 558mm (8 to 22in), enabling Oniya Shapira to provide a time and cost efficient service. The press can also print on coated and uncoated stocks (matt and gloss) from 60 to 215g/m2, providing the versatility and flexibility Oniya Shapira needs to meet its customers' demands.

The company's aim is to transfer all existing jobs to digital to take full advantage of the benefits provided by these new presses. However, Oniya Shapira also recognises that there are new revenue opportunities to be explored within the publishing industry, now that it has installed the two HP T230 Presses. The capabilities of the new presses will enable the company to target new markets and produce new applications, including books and booklets.

"We chose to invest in the new HP T230s not only for the added value, print quality and production benefits for our existing customers, but also because we could see the huge growth potential for Oniya Shapira," said Moti Sadon, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, Oniya Shapira. "The publishing market is something we have thought about targeting for a while, and now is the right time with these new capabilities. The HP T230s will allow us to expand our business, provide a much broader service and have a real competitive advantage in the sector."

Oniya Shapira's production site also includes two HP Indigo W7250 Digital Presses, in operation daily to produce direct mail and other commercial print jobs.
