Hansaprint, an innovative and leading printing house in the Nordic region and a part of the TS-Group has already signed up to be the first business in the world to order the new Ricoh Pro VC60000. It is a new generation, continuous feed, inkjet technology platform for graphic arts, designed to excel at direct mail, book printing and marketing materials. The Hansaprint order includes; an undercoat unit which will enable it to print on a broad variety of media including offset coated stocks; a protector coat unit to deliver durable "scratch & scuff resistance" on coated paper; and a hot air knife dryer which ensure ink dries quickly, in a power efficient way.

The Ricoh Pro VC60000 is a modular based system and has been designed to be the most versatile colour inkjet available on the market. It is powered by Ricoh's own Digital Front End, the TotalFlow Print Server R600A, designed for demanding graphic arts environments and applications. Ricoh believes the platform will set a new benchmark for quality in its class as a result of its unique multi-drop inkjet technology, achieving a physical resolution of up to 1200x1200 dpi with dynamic variable drop size within each pixel, providing significant additional perceived print quality. It provides support for uncoated, coated offset, digital, treated and recycled papers. The Ricoh Pro VC60000 will also meet the high productivity needs of commercial printers offering fast speeds, producing nearly 100,000 A4 images per hour.
