Ricoh named MFP Manufacturer of the Year for second consecutive year

THE CANNATA REPORT will honor Ricoh at annual awards dinner; results based on responses to CANNATA's 29th Annual Dealer Survey

Ricoh Americas Corporation today announced it has been named for the second consecutive year the "MFP Manufacturer of the Year" by THE CANNATA REPORT, published by Marketing Research Consultants LLC.

The award will be presented at THE CANNATA REPORT's 29th Annual Awards and Charities Dinner on September 18 at the Meadow Wood Manor in East Randolph, New Jersey. This year's event, officially sponsored by MWA Intelligence and Graphtec Digital Solutions, Inc. will bring imaging and document solutions industry dealers and manufacturers together, benefitting the Saint Ignatius College Prep Scholarship Fund. Since 1997, THE CANNATA REPORT, along with imaging and document solutions industry dealers, have raised over $1.2 million for various charities.

According to Frank G. Cannata, President and Editor-in-Chief/Publisher of THE CANNATA REPORT media portfolio, "Ricoh has turned its attention to building an enviable line of quality products. This award is recognition of their efforts in the area of MFPs. An award could easily be given to this company for what they have built in the way of a highly competitive production print capability. From every aspect we can think of no other company has upgraded, over the last three years, their product offering as dramatically as Ricoh has."

Ricoh Americas' Senior Vice President of Marketing Tim Vellek will accept the award on behalf of Ricoh. The distinction is given based on responses to THE CANNATA REPORT's 29th Annual Dealer Survey, where over 275 dealers provided feedback on which manufacturer they believe offers the best multifunction products (MFPs). For the first time in the report's 29-year history CANNATA had four dealers reporting revenues in excess of $100 million and 11 percent of the respondents stating that their total revenues were in excess of $30 million.

"This honor from THE CANNATA REPORT for a second year demonstrates that our dealers, as well as our customers, agree that Ricoh is successfully making information work for them through continued product innovation," said Vellek. "We are proud of this achievement as it is a result of our ongoing commitment to our dealers."
