KINGSLINE REACHES NEW HEIGHTS OF EFFICIENCY AND PRODUCTIVITY WITH RICOH

Sussex-based targeted marketing solutions provider, Kingsline, has invested in a Ricoh Pro™ C751 and Ricoh Pro™ 8120S, installed in April 2014. Combining the latest digital print technology, IT and data skills and fulfilment solutions, Kingsline aims to provide ambitious integrated marketing campaigns that are highly personalised and targeted, and this investment marks the next phase of its six year history in providing on demand mailing collateral to a wide customer base. The installation has enabled a new level of efficiency and improved workflow processes, ensuring Kingsline can deliver high quality output faster and more cost effectively than before.

Says David Saunders, director at Kingsline: "Over the past six years we have grown from a team of two to ten people, and our success has largely been down to the fact that we have remained focused on our key objectives – everything we do is bespoke mailing, exploiting the data we receive from our clients in intelligent ways. Examples of this work include welcome packs for a leading children's charity, where we are able to pull data directly from the customer's CRM. This means the customer does not have to transfer data over to us, as the process is automated. As well as saving time and cost, this allows us to create truly bespoke welcome packs for each sponsor and child, helping to create the special one-on-one relationship that this charity aims to provide. We also produce targeted college prospectuses that only include material about the courses a prospective student is interested in.

"When we considered our options in terms of the presses available on the market, we found that Ricoh delivered a high level of quality for this level of machine, more impressive than its competitors. The output speed and workflow is a lot better than what we had before – in fact, we replaced two colour machines from another manufacturer with just the Ricoh Pro™ C751, because it is so much more efficient. The data management element is obviously extremely important to our business, as a lot of the work we produce is driven by data from our customers. The integrity of our systems in sorting that data and linking directly to client CRM systems is complimented by the efficient, automated workflow that both Ricoh presses deliver."

As Kingsline has also found the Ricoh Pro™ C751 delivers extremely high image quality, using VCSEL (Vertical Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser) technology for razor sharp 4800 dpi, and offers high productivity up to 300gsm. The machine is designed for maximum uptime, with a new liquid cooling system enabling extended and continuous printing, and enhanced Operator Replaceable Units. For those tasks that do not require full colour, the Ricoh Pro™ 8120S mono production printer is designed to offer reliability along with high image quality and paper handling.

Continues David: "The operator-replaceable units were a significant factor in our selection of the Ricoh technology. It means we have less downtime – if there is a problem on the machine, we can replace a complete unit without stopping production while it is being fixed."

Says Gareth Parker, Strategic marketing manager, Ricoh UK: "This installation is the perfect example of how Ricoh works in partnership with each of our customers to deliver on two fronts – firstly, providing technology that streamlines day to day processes and makes the operators life easy without compromising quality; and secondly offering an unwavering commitment to working in closely with customers to identify, implement and specify the right equipment and service for each customer's unique needs."
