Three New Models Offer Advanced Features and Connectivity for Corporate, Higher Education and House of Worship Environments
Epson, the number-one selling projector brand worldwide1, today expanded its PowerLite® 1900-series projector line with three new models. Designed for boardrooms, lecture halls and houses of worship, the new PowerLite 1975W, 1980WU and 1985WU provide outstanding image quality, a wide range of connectivity options and up to WUXGA resolution with native full HD 1080p support. In addition, two of the new models feature wireless full HD video transfer via Intel® WiDi and Android™ Miracast, as well as two HDMI ports, one with MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) for connecting multiple digital devices.

The new PowerLite 1900-series projectors deliver a host of easy-to-use and versatile features designed for the classroom, boardroom and sanctuary, including:
New Wireless Connectivity: PowerLite 1975W and 1985WU support Intel WiDi and Android Miracast for full HD video mirroring of wireless devices; all three models work with the free Epson iProjection™ app that allows for wireless projection from Apple® devices running iOS 4.2 or later, or Android devices running Android 2.3 or later3
Advanced Connectivity: Two HDMI ports, one with MHL for connecting multiple digital devices, including mobile phones, tablets and other portable devices, for enriched high definition viewing capabilities
Split Screen: Gives presentation flexibility with two side-by-side windows and three layout options; video and presentation materials run simultaneously for added convenience4
Multi-PC Projection: Allows up to 32 participants to connect to the projector, and up to four participants to simultaneously display on one screen for advanced collaboration flexibility

All Epson projectors feature the latest 3-chip 3LCD technology to deliver amazing, true-to-life color and detail for powerful presentations; Epson projectors offer three times brighter colors than leading competitive projectors6. This technology also provides an energy-efficient light engine which uses available lamp light to create stunning images, and in contrast to 1-chip DLP technology, 3LCD requires, on average, 25 percent less electricity per lumen of brightness7.
Color Brightness Specification and Projector Performance
The new color brightness specification (measuring red, green and blue) published by the Society of Information Display (SID) allows consumers to compare projector color performance without conducting a side-by-side shootout. With today's high definition content, presenters can display content with higher quality in brighter environments. For a truly impressive image, projectors need to offer both high color brightness and high white brightness. High color brightness is important for larger screen sizes and provides flexibility for a variety of screen materials. Without sufficient color brightness, images may be muddy, soft and lose detail, even in a dark room.
Availability and Support
The PowerLite 1980WU will be available in August 2014 and the PowerLite 1975W and 1985WU will be available in October 2014 through national resellers and direct on Epson.com. The projectors are also available through pro audio/visual dealers, mail order, and distribution. Epson's projectors come with a two-year limited warranty that includes Road Service projector replacement program with projector exchange in one business day with paid shipping, and a 90-day limited lamp warranty.
