Automation solutions for the future

Automation, networking and increased productivity will be the dominant themes at the Exclusive Days on May 14, 2019 in Augsburg. Visitors will be offered an insight into BÖWE SYSTEC and its smart automation solutions for the industry of the future through talks, face-to-face conversations and live demonstrations.

The demands imposed on producers keep on rising and so does their need for flexible and efficient processes. Automation is the answer. As a supplier of smart automation solutions, BÖWE SYSTEC helps its customers to configure themselves to meet the challenges of both today and tomorrow. The Exclusive Days are an ideal platform for discussions about current trends and to learn about the latest technologies and solutions.

Small batches – non-stop
The trend towards smaller batches is a major challenge for many of BÖWE SYSTEC’s customers from the transactional and direct mail segments. The Fusion Cross high-speed inserter will show how to transform the time-consuming processing of small individual jobs into automated and profitable high-performance production. With its Small Batch Processing software, multiple small jobs are bundled together on a single roll and then processed without any intervention. Uniquely, the system makes any required changes to the settings completely automatically.

Not one but two world premieres in Augsburg
A faster version of the Fusion Cross will make its debut in Augsburg. Technical advances mean that it can now achieve a throughput of up to 24,000 envelopes per hour (up from the current 22,000 envelopes per hour). However, the highlight of the Exclusive Days will be the world premiere of the Fusion Speed inserter. Following on from its announcement at the Hunkeler Innovationdays, visitors will now be offered an exclusive demonstration of it in action for the first time. This new high-speed inserter combines the advantages of the Fusion Cross with a higher speed of up to 30,000 envelopes per hour. The Fusion Speed will be able to handle formats from B6+ to B5 and #7 ¾ to B5 and 6 x 9. It is expected to be commercially available in 2020.

The array of exhibits will also include direct mail solutions such as the Direct Mailer. This delivers stable processing through its new inserting technology, which is based on that used by the Fusion Cross. Naturally, the proven 9G Basic inserting system for the transactional segment will also be on show, as will the modular Pace card mailing system.

Mail and parcel sorting solutions from A – Z
BÖWE SYSTEC’s modern sorting systems simplify the automation of postal sorting. Here, the Simex Flexi, the latest mixed mail sorting system, shows what it can do. Able to handle formats from C6 to B4 and #7 3/4 to Flats with a maximum thickness of 20 millimeters, the system can achieve throughputs of 30,000 items per hour and process products such as magazines, newspapers, catalogues or polywrapped mailings with its customary efficiency.

The e-commerce sector is booming and so, too, is the number of parcels that have to be processed every day. Once again, BÖWE SYSTEC offers well thought out systems and smart software solutions to optimize the entire parcel sorting chain, from receipt of goods through sorting to shipping. Central to its offering is the OptiSorter with its Push-Tray technology and fully integrated BÖWE Sort sorting software. This parcel sorting system is able to process items ranging from the smallest letter up to heavy banana boxes. Even formats that lie outside current standards fail to bring it to a halt, and it is able to process items weighing up to 31.5 kilograms efficiently and without disruption.

Upping the tempo of intralogistics
If you want to fulfil your customers’ expectations then you need to be able to deliver at the right time, in the right place and with the right quality. This is true for industry, for trade and, above all, for e-commerce, where speed and flexibility in handling goods are decisive. Besides its hardware, BÖWE SYSTEC is also able to offer the software expertise that is so important for this. BÖWE SYSTEC’s Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Warehouse Control System (WCS) make warehouse processes more transparent and efficient. Don’t take our word for it. Come and see for yourself.

Countering counterfeiting
Product piracy continues to be a major challenge in the global economy. As a Track & Trace specialist with over 30 years of experience, BÖWE SYSTEC has developed both hard- and software solutions that should be used wherever counterfeiting needs to be eliminated. This is true in many areas, but the consequences are particularly serious when dealing with medicines. BÖWE SYSTEC will be showing its serialization solutions specifically developed for the pharmaceutical market at the Exclusive Days.
