MIMAKI TO SHOWCASE PLASTIC PRINTING PERFECTION AT FAKUMA 2014

PLASTIC PRINTING ENABLES SUPPLIERS TO DELIVER MORE CREATIVE AND PERSONALISED END PRODUCTS

Mimaki, a leading global manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and cutting plotters for the sign/graphics, textile/apparel and industrial markets, will showcase its high quality print production capabilities on a host of materials including plastic bottles and ID cards as well as metal plates at Fakuma 2014. The international trade fair for plastics processing take place at the Neue Messe 1 in Friedrichshafen, Germany, from October 14 to18.

"The plastic market is one of the fastest moving sectors in the industry," Mike Horsten, General Manager Marketing EMEA at Mimaki Europe, explains. "Ease of production is converging with the increasing demand for more eye-catching and creative materials including black, white, silver and transparent solutions. This is driving market suppliers to push developmental and creative boundaries with their solutions and we are delighted to be demonstrating what we can help both suppliers and customers achieve at Fakuma 2014."
Targeted Mimaki solutions for plastic printing
Under the slogan Let's Create... Together, Mimaki will highlight the array of possibilities delivered by its UJF-3042 UV LED Flatbed Printer on stand FW-18 (foyer). It is ideal for short runs and on demand printing directly onto materials up to 50mm thick for uses as varied as coloured pencils to USB sticks.
Also on show will be Mimaki's A2 format UJF-6042 UV LED Flatbed Printer offering greater versatility and photo-quality 1800dpi x 1800 dpi print reproduction onto an almost limitless range of materials, objects and substrates up to 150mm thick. It is ideal for a host of applications including gifts and novelties, 3D lenticular, photo albums and name plates.
It will be equipped with the Kebab Option. Using rotary rollers, the Kebab option enables print to be placed on the entire surface of a cylindrical item in a wide range of materials and sizes. With user-friendly print settings and functions and intuitive operation it can be simply introduced into any print production environment for the innovative personalisation of items ranging from candles to bottles.
Mr. Horsten expands: "These solutions, along with Mimaki's portfolio, are constantly evolving with an increasingly stronger emphasis on sustainability and innovation. But it is their ability to address the increased market interest towards value-added customisation and personalisation that generates customer engagement. The versatility and substrate flexibility offered by Mimaki's Kebab option is a perfect example of this."
