SIRANE is beginning full production on a range of 95 kPa specimen transportation bags which will help users remove the risks associated with packaging failure.
The newly expanded range of Safe-HoldT products will ensure full compliance with legislation surrounding biological specimen transportation Packing Instruction 650.
Safe-HoldT now offers the complete transportation solution- including absorbent pads, absorbent pouches and 95 kPa specimen transportation bags.
Safe-holdT absorbent 95 kPa transportation bags are designed to ensure containment of the contents, even in the event of catastrophic failure of the primary package.
Jonathan Mason, business development manager, said: "The legislation surrounding the transportation of diagnostic specimens is complex and understandably stringent.
"The consequences of packaging failing could be catastrophic - and costly - and so it is vital that a fully compliant solution is used for samples which need to be transported.
"After months of careful and laborious testing, we are beginning full production of our 95 kPa bags, and can currently offer them in three sizes, A6, A5 and A4. - with A3 to follow.
"The various Safe-HoldT products can be combined for a complete secondary packaging solution - or purchased as separate Components."
Safe-holdT absorbent pads and pouches are available in a wide range of sizes with absorbency levels calculated to meet all requirements. They are available with a leak-proof adhesive closure, puncture resistance, printed tracking information and other features.
95 kPa bags allow that extra level of security in the packaging, full encasing all the specimen pouches in a sealed bag capable of withstanding pressure change differentials.
