1. Komori starts to supply mass-production "Metal Wiring for Touch Panel" printing system to the Market.
Komori realized high precision wiring printing systems using "Gravure Offset Printing Technology" with reasonable initial investment and favorable running cost. Before then, it was only available by very expensive photo-lithography technology. By above technology, Komori has completed the touch panel mass-production systems to boost the market. Mass-production of touch panel by gravure offset printing technology requires optimization of equipment, printing materials and printing plate, and Komori has organization which can support the systems totally by cooperation with material suppliers, research bodies and so forth.
Komori will exhibit the working touch panel sample printed by PEPIO at Touch Taiwan 2014, the International Touch Panel and Optical Film Exhibition 2014, to be held for three days from August 27 to 29 at the Taipei World Trade Centre Nangang Exhibition Hall in Taipei, Taiwan. At there, Komori will start to sell the Gravure offset printing system "PEPIO" series officially.
Also, Komori announced to acquire 100% shares of Tokai Holdings which brand name is "SERIA" in PE industry, and Tokai became a subsidiary of Komori on May 12th, 2014. Since then, Komori is unifying Tokai's screen printing business and Komori's gravure offset printing business to extend PE business. Komori offers a total solution by uniting the technology and the sales channel which both companies have.

In January 2013, Komori and ITRI (Industrial Technology Research Institute of Taiwan R.O.C.) entered into a joint-development contract to develop gravure offset printing systems and continue to work together still now. At this Touch Taiwan, Komori will exhibit newly developed "Printed Metal Mesh Type" touch panel as a working sample. This touch panel sample is a suggestion as an innovative production technology which is realized combination of very fine line width of L/S=30/30μm for narrow bezel and metal mesh of line width of 5μm available for wide panel which can be substituted for ITO in one step of gravure offset printing.
