Online print shop extents Durst machinery for top digital printing quality
The Onlineprinters online print shop has launched a new high-speed UV roll-to-roll printer for printing mesh and PVC tarpaulins in premium digital printing quality. "The new printer, Durst Rho 312R roll-to-roll printer, allows us to print individual large formats for tarpaulins and mesh fabric with an excellent image quality unrivalled on the market for outdoor advertising," Julia Voigt, Marketing Manager of Onlineprinters GmbH, explains.
"The 'fine-art' image quality is ensured by a 6-colour UV ink set that includes light cyan and light magenta and by the intelligent Variodrop technology with particularly high pigment concentration and a resolution of 900 dpi in the printing system. This technology yields warmer colours and homogenous coloured areas with a soft look. "This enables our customers to present expressive and colourful advertising messages at the point of sale for a highly detailed representation of the image even up close," Julia Voigt sums up the top quality of the large format digitally printed products in the online shop
Onlineprinters continues to expand its digital printing machinery
The Durst Rho 312R roll-to-roll printer presented for the first time at the Fespa Digital in Munich on 22 May 2014 was officially handed over to Onlineprinters, the German provider of online printing services, at the trade show. "We have developed a new printer that is excellently suited for three-shift industrial operation at Onlineprinters GmbH. The printer is capable of processing a great variety of materials, enabling flexible printing and fast printing times with little preparation time," Peter Weingartner, Director of Technical Development with Durst Phototechnik Digital Technology GmbH in Austria, points out the machine's benefits. The great flexibility, productivity and printing quality make the large format printer the most advanced and productive high-speed UV roll-to-roll printer of its class with an output speed of up to 240 square metres per hour. Onlineprinters uses the high-speed printer for efficient applications in the field of "fine art" printing for PVC tarpaulins and PVC mesh fabric. The Rho 312R is the latest addition to the online print shop's machinery of the Durst premium brand. Since May 2012 already, the print service provider has been using the Rhotex 320 industrial soft signage printer to produce high-quality fabric advertising and presentation systems.
