Cross Match Technologies and DigitalPersona Launch Integrated Company

New Crossmatch brand offers expanded portfolio of biometrics-based identity management solutions

The new Crossmatch™ debuted today at CARTES 2014 in Paris.  A result of the April 2014 merger of Cross Match Technologies® and DigitalPersona®, the company introduced its new brand identity that clearly reflects elements of both predecessor organizations.

"The integration process moved quickly because the two companies were highly complementary in terms of product portfolios, service offerings, market coverage and strategic focus," said Rich Agostinelli, CEO of the new Crossmatch. "Both brands had substantial equity with customers and partners around the world. The integration positions us well to provide complete identity management solutions which include leading biometric enrollment and authentication hardware and software,  a robust workflow management platform,  and a wide range of professional services and support offerings."

"Based on early customer and partner feedback, we feel we've accomplished our goal of combining the products and service expertise of both companies," Agostinelli said. "We were careful to preserve that brand equity and create a new brand that is greater than the sum of the parts."

Along with a new company name and logo that is on display for the first time at CARTES Paris 2014, Crossmatch launched a website that reflects its new brand identity.  The website provides information on the company's offerings, as well as providing customers and partners access to the tools and information they require.

Crossmatch is leveraging its biometric-based technologies to meet the specific needs of a variety of vertical markets, including government, defense, law enforcement, banking, retail and corporate enterprise. "While these markets share critical business concerns, the needs of each require dedicated solutions that drive specific and measurable results," Agostinelli added.
