Leading Sustainability for the Printing Industry

Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP) announced today the 2016 Printing Industry Sustainability Conference, a new event bringing sustainability innovations and topics to printers, print consumers, industrial suppliers and brands. The conference will be held at the Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel, September 13, 2016 9:00am - 5:00pm.


UPM's support of the "Local waters" school project enables the project to expand nationwide

UPM supports a school project called "Local waters". Originally launched in schools in the city of Rauma, the project will expand to other UPM mill locations in Finland in 2016. The project aims to improve grammar and encourage secondary school students to become more interested in natural sciences-particularly natural science related to water-by exploring the natural waters in the vicinity of the schools. In addition to UPM, the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE), Raumanmeri Rotary Club and the organisation puhdasvesi.fi are also involved in the project.

City of Turku and Teleste Corporation to Develop Together Smart Solutions for the City Environment

The City of Turku and Teleste Corporation have signed a partnership agreement aimed at implementing new ICT-based innovations in the public sector. The agreement, which is one-of-a-kind in Finland, seeks to develop smart, functional technologies which are of use to the city's residents and also within their reach. The City of Turku is the first public sector body with which Teleste has undertaken this kind of cooperative work.

BODW 2015 Ends, Bidding Farewell to First-ever Partner City Barcelona

Business of Design Week (BODW) 2015, the annual flagship programme on design, innovation and brands in Asia presented by the Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC), drew to a successful close after a week of thought-provoking programmes exploring business, design and cities of the future in Hong Kong and BODW's first-ever Partner City Barcelona.
