Intergraph Launches Next-Gen Ready Computer-Aided Dispatch Software

I/CAD 9.3 integrates voice, text and data into easy-to-use system, improves mobility and safety and reduces deployment time and costs

Intergraph® will help public safety agencies transition to Next Generation 911 with the newest version of its industry-leading computer-aided dispatch software, released today. I/CAD 9.3 leverages next-generation communications in the public safety answering point (PSAP), improves mobility and safety of field personnel and reduces the time and cost for new technology deployments. The release provides essential integration and interoperability tools for meeting the expanding needs of today's agencies and the citizens they serve.

"Intergraph is committed to increasing PSAP efficiency and officer safety, improving situational awareness and decreasing response times. I/CAD 9.3 was developed with feedback from our customers who face the daily challenges of the demanding public safety environment," said Kalyn Sims, vice president, public safety products, Intergraph Security, Government & Infrastructure. "With support for next-generation communications and features such as person-level tracking and simpler interface development, I/CAD 9.3 offers improved efficiency with a lower total cost of ownership to support our customers' needs now and in the future."

With I/CAD 9.3, Intergraph is helping agencies transition to next-generation communications by incorporating voice, text and data in an easy-to-use system. The new Intergraph Communications Controller integrates call control and incident creation for more efficient operations and enables call-takers to view incoming and answered calls on the map for quicker call assessment. I/CAD's flexible architecture with EdgeFrontier® supports evolving next-generation standards and communications capabilities.

I/CAD 9.3 also improves mobility and safety of field personnel through person-level tracking and support for files and multimedia attachments associated with an event. Agencies can track and manage individual responders outside of their vehicles on a map for better incident management and send pictures and video to the field for situational awareness. Improved mobile incident management capabilities for laptops, tablets and smartphones - including Intergraph's Mobile Responder - provide responders with constant access, better maps and simpler tools.

I/CAD 9.3 also reduces technology deployment time and costs. EdgeFrontier enables simpler and faster interface development, reducing the cost of custom interfaces used in implementations, upgrades and connecting to external systems.
