Toyo Ink Arets to Spotlight Low Migration, Food-Safe Packaging at Labelexpo Europe

Toyo Ink Arets N.V., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Toyo Ink Group, announced today that it will showcase its total solution capability with a new lineup of UV/EB inks, UV coatings & UV laminating adhesives at Labelexpo Europe 2015. Building on Toyo Ink Arets' knowledge of packaging compliance and the Group's expertise in material science, these solutions are formulated to deliver spectacular print speeds, production and cost savings, and enhanced food safety, resulting in higher value converting operations.

Visitors to the Toyo Ink Arets stand C46 in Hall 7 can look forward to seeing a versatile range of products that meet new demands for food-safe label and packaging. At center stage is Steraflex® FOOD, a UV flexo ink system that exhibits low migration and low odor properties. Formulated without ITX, Benzophenone and VOCs, it supports food label printers and packaging converters to achieve desired print results while respecting EuPIA guidelines and materials migration limits listed in the Swiss Ordinance.

Labelexpo Europe will also mark the soft launch of the latest development in the company's low migration product portfolio—the Steraplast™ FOOD series of low migration UV offset inks for plastic substrates. Steraplast FOOD brings superb ink-water balance and curing speeds to label and package printing.

Another booth highlight will be Dr. Ronny Borms, Toyo Ink Arets corporate brand manager and food packaging expert, who will be at the stand daily to meet with visitors and share in-depth information about low migration inks and package printing systems. Dr. Borms also serves on a number of high-level energy curing and food packaging-related committees with the EuPIA.

"Low migration ink systems continue to gain more and more attention with brands all over the world," noted Dr. Borms. "Anyone looking to understand more about food packaging compliance in Europe or seeking low migration capability in their own printing or packaging lines is invited to drop by the stand. I'd be happy to share details on the potential chemical migration risks and the exciting new developments from Toyo Ink Arets that help address such risks."
