New Products Deliver Productivity and Cost Advantages
Bluestar Silicones announced the introduction of a premium release additive and a crosslinking agent for solvent-borne silicone systems for a range of label applications. Bluestar Silicones made the announcement at Labelexpo Americas 2014 (Booth 3605) September 9-11 at the Donald T. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill.
"For solvent-borne systems, we continue to develop new and unique solutions that increase productivity, cut costs, and boost efficiencies," said Sean Duffy, Global Business Manager Release Coatings for Bluestar Silicones. Both new products are targeted for use in pressure-sensitive release coatings.
Bluestar Silicones ADD 398 is a premium release additive that is designed to reduce release force and provide a premium release for a range of solvent polymers. It is used at 1-2% addition levels.
Bluestar Silicones XL 311, a crosslinking agent, was developed for use on polyethylene coated kraft (PEK) paper. It provides excellent low-temperature cure and strong anchorage to the substrate material.
