Why We Should be Interested in Commercial Display

These days we encounter advertising on displays anywhere we go in the city. In the past, advertising was posted on fixed boards but display manufacturers are now actively investing in increasing the effectiveness of advertising by giving consumers an increased sense of immersion into advertising with high resolution images. Keith Kelsen, the author of the book "Unleashing the Power of Digital Signage", says the 'moment of truth' is the moment that customers take interest in a brand. It is now possible to reach customers through not just the traditional mediums such as TV and newspapers but they can be reached anywhere with Commercial Display.

The Reason the Commercial Display Market is Receiving so much Attention

Commercial Display can reduce costs with the evolution of content from existing printed material to digital imaging. Paper or film billboards must be changed whenever the content changes and the existing materials must be discarded once they have been replaced. However, Commercial Display makes it possible to change the content on the display by simply changing the file on a computer. The imaging market is also developing rapidly. There are thousands of images being uploaded daily onto YouTube alone.

There are also many cases where Commercial Display is installed outdoors as well. When installing a digital signage outdoors, factors such as rain, wind and strong ultraviolet rays must be taken into consideration. LG Display has increased the reliability of panels for outdoor use and supplies ultra-high luminance products so that a clear image can be seen on the screen even in bright sunlight.

Because LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) is made of 'liquid crystal', when the temperature rises, the liquid can boil like water and the screen cannot be displayed properly. Blackening of the screen can occur where the screen appears to have been burned. LG Display has minimized this problem by developing an optical temperature liquid crystal that can withstand temperatures up to 110 degrees without issue. The durability of these displays has been increased noticeably with the addition of optical temperature polarization.

The issue of limited field of view must be considered when installing Commercial Display in a public place where many people will view the screen from different angles. As in the image above, there is a difference in sizes between on screen and a multivision screen with 3 displays connected so that the contents can be seen from all directions. The most important thing is that the image is clear from all angles and the colors can be seen without distortion. LG Display IPS OLED technology is the best on the market for resolving these issues.

IPS (In-plane Switching) technology uses an electric field to rotate the liquid crystal molecules into a horizontal direction. Because the liquid crystal molecules are not aligned vertically, even after the screen is touched, no afterimage remains and the screen is immediately restored.

Also, since the liquid crystal structure is stable, the screen is particularly fast at restoring after it has been touched. Commercial Display with IPS that has touch functionality added would make a very advantageous dual-function display.

Kia Motors has taken the 'digitization' operations on showrooms since 2011, and have brought Commercial Display internally. With this particular digital signage, customers are able to find information on the model of car they want and even get an estimate or sign up for an event. Since there is a limit to how many cars can fit into a show room, the digital signage makes it possible to check on any model available even if the model is not in the showroom itself.

By installing a large-scale video walls in the showroom with dynamic and powerful images of car models, the showroom's atmosphere could shift into an energetic vibe, leaving the customers satisfied as if they are actually driving the car.

Contents sent from HQ on a USB drive can be connected directly to the commercial Display. LG Display commercial Display can send out images directly from a USB drive without the need for an additional set top box. Managing content for each showroom just got a whole lot easier!
