At Sign & Digital UK (NEC Birmingham, from April 29th to May 1st), Mutoh's key authorised distributor for UK – Colourgen (booth G80) – will be displaying the latest Mutoh ValueJet wide-format printers for commercial print, signage, print-to-cut and dye sublimation applications.
Showstoppers on display at the show will be the NEW ValueJet 1638X, Mutoh's 64" high speed sign printer for top quality output, the new Universal Mild Solvent inks; Mutoh's fourth generation mild solvent inks specifically developed for volume-oriented users and the 2.6 m wide ValueJet 2638.
Sign UK visitors will also be able to see the popular 64" wide ValueJet 1624 high quality printer for durable graphics, the ValueCut drag knife cutter designed for home, office and professional users and Mutoh's ValueJet 1624W dye sublimation printer suited for the production of soft signage, apparel and gadgets.
Première for UK : ValueJet 1638X
The new ValueJet 1638X is targeted at long term outdoor and indoor sign & display applications. The printer integrates a newly developed mainboard allowing faster data communication and data processing as well as advanced print automation features thanks to Mutoh's award-winning Intelligent Interweaving and the new DropMaster technology.
The 1638X is specifically targeted at volume users who at the same time put consistent high quality and high image definition at the top of their wish list. ValueJet 1638X's production print speeds start at 10 m2/h at 1080x1440 dpi and go up to 15, 20, 29 and 36 m2/h, the latter still at 720x720 dpi.
The ValueJet 1638X can be configured with Mutoh Eco Ultra inks, available in 220 ml and 440 ml cassettes, as well as Mutoh Universal Mild Solvent - UMS - available in 440 ml cassettes and litre bottles, for use with Mutoh's bulk ink system.
UMS – Universal Mild Solvent - Inks
The new 4th generation Mutoh mild solvent inks, called UMS (Universal Mild Solvent), have been developed specifically for Mutoh's roll-to-roll sign & display printer portfolio. Available in bulk 1 litre bottles & 440 ml cassettes, these new inks offer compatibility with both installed-base Mutoh mild solvent printers as well as Mutoh's ValueJet series outdoor sign & display printers.
The UMS inks offer an outdoor UV resistance of up to three years without lamination. They are virtually odour-free and do not require any forced ventilation. They have an unrivalled colour gamut and a unique gloss preservation. The inks cover 83 % of the Pantone C® colour chart. The inks are fixed and dried at regular heating temperatures and are suited for both high quality and high speed printing.
