Crawford Technologies Hosting Document Accessibility Workshop at Graph Expo 2015

Attendees will learn how to integrate accessible formats into customer communications to ensure they are meeting current legislation

Crawford Technologies announced today it will be hosting a free educational workshop at Graph Expo 2015 to teach organizations how they can seamlessly integrate accessible documents into their customer communications.

In this interactive workshop, the CrawfordTech Document Accessibility Services (DAS) team will outline and demonstrate the use of traditional alternate formats such as braille, large print, eText, audio, DAISY, Accessible PDF (WCAG 2.0 Level AA and PDF/UA) and smartphone-based 2D barcodes that allow paper to be accessible. Attendees will learn how to easily and cost-effectively integrate accessible formats into their organization's document workflows.

"Companies are required by law to provide documents in accessible formats to meet the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Food and Drug Safety Innovation Act and the Affordable Health Care Act," said Dennis Quon, Business Development Manager of Document Accessibility Services, Crawford Technologies.

"More and more organizations are being penalized for not complying with legislation, so this workshop has been created to provide organizations with the latest information and tools needed to integrate accessible formats into their organization's document workflow."

More than 25 million Americans have visual or cognitive disabilities and it is required by law to provide customer communications in the accessible formats they request.
