Oregon-based Bend Mapping, known for providing speedy service and completing difficult jobs, purchased the flat bed scanner after repeatedly turning away customers with three-dimensional originals or exceptionally fragile documents. After 6 months of installing the HD iFLEX scanner, Bend Mapping anticipates a swift return on investment within 2.5 years.

In a recent scanning project, a local high school football team hired Bend Mapping to capture decades worth of framed photos, many water damaged, for a banner and mural. Without removing them from the frames, Bend Mapping used the HD iFLEX to capture the photos with exceptional image quality.
HD iFLEX provides flexibility
The HD iFLEX's large flatbed surface allows for scanning originals of any thickness. The ultrabright LED light eliminates unwanted shadows in flat originals, and captures the necessary shadows in three-dimensional objects and artwork.
A significant benefit of the HD iFLEX is its large scanning area. Though the HD iFLEX has an A2/C-size footprint, Contex's Nextimage scanning software allows the device to capture an A1/D-size original. The hardware scans the image area in just four seconds, and its camera provides a full 600 x 600 optical resolution. Bend Mapping staffers can easily connect the HD iFLEX to any one of its five wide-format printers.
