Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Fuji Xerox Establish and Begin Operation of Fuji Xerox Service Link

Based on an agreement on comprehensive business alliance in document services as announced on October 3, 2013, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) and Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. will establish and begin operation of a new company, Fuji Xerox Service Link Co., Ltd., starting April 1, 2014. The new company is to succeed the document-related business of MHI's subsidiary, RYOIN Co., Ltd.

Through the comprehensive business alliance, MHI and Fuji Xerox will strengthen their partnership beyond a mere business succession to achieve growth in both businesses.

MHI, through the triune project with Fuji Xerox and Fuji Xerox Services Link, aims to standardize and optimize its document-related processes and achieve a drastic reduction in direct/indirect costs. Ultimately, MHI will promote its corporate renovation set forth in its fiscal 2012 business plan, exert synergy effects by shifting its business groups domain-centric, and expand its business in the global market.

With its accumulated knowhow on document outsourcing service, Fuji Xerox aims to expand its business by incorporating the services capability currently undertaken by RYOIN and further getting involved with the document-related processes of MHI group of companies. With the establishment of the new company, Fuji Xerox will offer outsourcing services focusing on document-related services to support MHI group in solving their management issues.

By succeeding RYOIN's document-related businesses such as print / copy / management services of multifunction devices and utilizing Fuji Xerox's knowhow, Fuji Xerox Service Link will strive to become a company specializing in document outsourcing services and solutions to support MHI group's business growth.
