Two 75-megawatt (MW-DC) solar photovoltaic (PV) projects lead new energy era in South Africa

JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. Regulus Solar Plant to Provide Clean Energy to Southern California

JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. ("JinkoSolar" or the "Company") (NYSE:JKS), a global leader in the solar PV industry, today announced that it has signed a 21.09MW solar PV module supply agreement with Nan Xin Solar, a subsidiary of China Southern Power Grid, for a distributed roof-top project located in Foshan, Guangdong Province.

Located in San Shui Park, Foshan Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, the project will be using 84859 JinkoSolar high-efficiency modules. Delivery is expected to begin in May 2014. Nan Xin Solar is the owner and investor for the project.

Already commercially deployed, the Ecoppia E4 system helps solar parks deliver more energy, more efficiently

Unirac, Inc., a Hilti Group Company and the leading provider of high quality, competitive PV mounting solutions in North America, was selected by Cobalt Power Systems Inc. to provide a 397.5 kW Roof Mount (RM) mounting system recently installed at the Oshman Family JCC (OFJCC) campus, in Palo Alto, CA.

The installation, developed by THiNKnrg, is Palo Alto's second largest solar roof system and encompasses 1,840 solar panels on 12 buildings of the Taube Koret Campus for Jewish Life (TKCJL). Combined, the solar arrays will generate enough energy to offset approximately 9,500 tons of CO2 over the next 20 years; which is equivalent to removing 1,814 passenger cars from the road.

Intersolar North America, the most attended industry exhibition and conference in North America for solar professionals to exchange information and develop business opportunities, is expanding its focus on energy storage for the 2014 event.

Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin has signed an Executive Order to promote the growth of distributed solar and wind in Oklahoma.  Governor Fallin issued the Order while signing Senate Bill 1456 into law.  The Order states that "all executive entities shall support all forms of energy, including both traditional fossil fuels and renewable energy sources like wind and solar power, as outlined and mandated by the Oklahoma First Energy Plan. This plan promotes wind and solar power as important forms of clean energy which have a significant place in Oklahoma power generation."

The Order goes on to affirm that SB 1456 "does not mandate tariffs or other increases for distributed generation customers." 

Today at Hall District Elementary School in Watsonville, Calif., Pajaro Valley Unified School District (PVUSD) and SunPower Corp. (NASDAQ: SPWR) celebrated the planned installation of 1.2-megawatts of high efficiency SunPower solar power systems at five district schools.
