More laughter than Leno, more fun and entertaining than Steven Colbert. That's how this year's Partners in Project Green Sustainability Duke Out: Late Night Edition is being dubbed. The Duke Out is proof that sustainability can be fun, celebrating the green business community with an evening of freewheeling comedy at the Mississauga Living Arts Centre on October 7, 2015.
Comedian and television personality James Cunningham returns to host the event for a third straight year. Open to both members of the Partners in Project Green community and to others interested in sustainability, the Duke Out is a celebration of the progress made towards sustainability while enjoying a few laughs and some prime networking.
Glen Murray, Ontario's Minister of the Environment and Climate Change, will deliver the welcome address. In addition to the main event – an hour-long "Late Night" talk show that will borrow moves from the likes of Letterman, Leno and Colbert – the Duke Out will feature a networking session, a VIP session, electric vehicle showcase and live music. Partners in Project Green will also announce the winners of its annual employee engagement initiative, the People Power Challenge.
In addition, the Duke Out's presenting sponsors, Ontario's BMW i Retailers, will showcase their i3 and i8 model electric vehicles to celebrate the launch of Partners in Project Green's Open Electric Vehicle Network. The largest initiative of its kind in the Greater Toronto Area, the Open Electric Vehicle Network is designed to encourage organizations and members of the public to consider purchasing electric vehicles by increasing the availability of networked charging stations. There will also be a chance to win a BMW i3 electric vehicle!
