Good Technology Ushers In a New Era of Innovation for Enterprise Mobility with the Next Generation of Good Work

Launch of mobile business desktop and Apple Touch ID app access paired with support for wearables and IoT drive enterprise-focused discussion at MWC

Good Technology™, the leader in secure mobility, today announced the next wave of innovative new updates to Good Work™ that are enabling businesses and entire industries to transform how they securely connect, communicate and collaborate. Today's announcements include a simple, single interface for business apps with Good Launcher™, fast, secure application access through Apple Touch ID and secure enterprise support for wearables. These solutions are available now on Good Work and further enhance Good's position as the leading mobile innovator.

"With each new generation of devices and applications, enterprise mobility is being redefined, and business users are expecting new functionality to make them more efficient and successful at work," said Christy Wyatt, chairman and CEO at Good Technology. "As a pioneer in the EMM space, our latest version of Good Work delivers innovations that reshape what the secure mobile work experience looks like on multiple form factors, including smartphones, tablets and now wearables and the Internet of Things."

Good Launcher – the New Business Desktop
Good Launcher is the new business desktop, providing users with access to all the apps they need while mobile with the push of a single button. The simple interface gives users navigational control of Good Work with one-touch toggling between email, calendar, contacts and documents. Additionally, Good Launcher enables users with access to all Good apps including Good Access™, Good Connect™, Good Share™ and Good for Salesforce1 or any of the over 1,600 customer-developed Good apps.

Fast, Secure Access to Good-Secured Apps with Apple Touch ID
Some of the most desired consumer features available on mobile devices can also compromise corporate security. Now, Good bridges these two concerns with support for application access via the Apple Touch ID feature on iOS 8 devices. With IT administrator policy enablement, users can enjoy fast access to any Good-secured app using their fingerprints on Apple smartphones and tablets with supporting hardware without compromising Good's container security. As part of the Good Trusted Authentication Framework (TAF), this capability is also available to developers building applications on the Good Dynamics® Secure Mobility Platform.

Delivering the First Secure Container for Wearables and IoT
As wearables and the Internet of Things become more prevalent, companies face the same security challenges they already face with smartphones and tablets being brought into their workforces. Today, Good also announced that it is the only enterprise mobility management (EMM) vendor providing secure data and content access on wearables through the Good Dynamics Platform.

Good Dynamics ensures security and protection of business data accessed by and stored on wearables and shared between other Good-secured apps. This opens up almost limitless possibilities for wearables to be used for two-factor authentication or access control to Good Work or any other Good-secured app running on a smartphone. For example, a nurse might access patient data remotely on a mobile app only after second factor authentication via her smartwatch. In other cases, a fitness band might be used as an additional means of access control for restricted building access.

Today, Good is enabling a new era of productivity for business with secure access to corporate email and calendars on paired wearable devices through Good Work. Support for Android Wear with Good Work brings a broad range of interaction and collaboration to the wrist. Users can receive push notifications, accept or reject meeting requests, and respond to emails using voice recognition or preset responses all from the wearable. Centralized policy controls allow IT departments to enable or disable wearable capabilities for Good Work and for any other Good-secured app built on the Good Dynamics platform.
