From 18 to 20 January 2015, Hubert Burda Media will welcome around 1,000 international guests to Munich's HVB Forum for the eleventh DLD (Digital, Life, Design) innovation conference. Entitled "It's only the beginning", the event will see more than 150 international speakers discuss the influence of continued digitalisation on society, the world of work, industry, mobility, art and design.

"Over the last two decades, digitalisation has rapidly changed our world," explains DLD founder and manager Steffi Czerny. "However, I believe that the truly ground-breaking changes to the digital world are still to come - and that the pace of change will increase dramatically. This is why I have chosen 'It's only the beginning' as the slogan for DLD15."

Topics such as big data, industry 4.0, the Internet of Things, mobile, health and e-commerce will therefore become the focus of Europe's leading digital conference, which features speakers such as Travis Kalanick (CEO Uber), David Marcus (Facebook), Dennis Woodside (Dropbox), Tim Höttges (Deutsche Telekom), Andrew McAfee (MIT), Giorgio Moroder (music producer) and Ian Robertson (BMW). And once again, DLD15 will also consider art, design, music and lifestyle as seismographs for change. For example, a "Luxury" panel and workshop presented by Thomas Tochtermann (Senior Advisor Fashion & Luxury, World Economic Forum) will allow participants to find out more about opportunities and new business models for luxury brands in the digital world.

Young entrepreneurs and founders may be particularly interested in "Venture Capital/Finance", which welcomes some headline acts to the DLD stage, including German internet entrepreneur Oliver Samwer (Rocket Internet) and American venture capitalist Ben Horowitz (Andreesen Horowitz).

As Europe repositions itself for digitalisation, DLD15 will also focus on the political framework that must be established for this purpose. This topic will be addressed by high-ranking politicians such as Günther Oettinger (EU Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society), Ed Vaizey (Minister of State for Culture and the Digital Economy, UK) and Axelle Lemaire (Deputy Minister for Digital Affairs, France).
