Although Screen USA plans to officially roll out an exciting new version of its Truepress Jet W3200UV flatbed inkjet printer at SGIA Expo 2014 in October, a sneak preview of the higher-productivity machine will take place during Screen's Media Day 2014 event on September 27.
The Truepress Jet W3200UV HS (for "High Speed") boasts Screen's renowned quality and outstanding productivity. It delivers true-quality wide-format printing at the top speed of 1,615 square feet per hour — almost double the throughput of the Truepress Jet W3200UV (914.9 square feet per hour), launched in 2013. Print service providers have a choice of models and the freedom to upgrade from the Truepress Jet W3200UV to the Truepress Jet W3200UV HS as their specific needs change the future.
This revolutionary, moving-table flatbed printer incorporates an industrial design, pop-up register pins, a head-crash detection system and other features typically found on more expensive machines. It accommodates premium-margin jobs, such as exhibition graphics and retail signage, as well as posters, product decoration, architectural signage, backlit displays and any commercial graphic involving materials that require the support of a fixed table. It is ideal for short-run, high-impact sign and display work that would otherwise go to a screen press.
The Truepress Jet W3200UV HS features six colors (cyan, magenta, yellow, black, light cyan and light magenta) plus two white ink channels. It has 48 color heads and 16 white heads. Different print modes selected according to the requirements of the finished product suit all applications. Text as fine as 4 points normal and 6 points reversed are sharp and legible in all modes.
Quality is controlled via the Wasatch SoftRIP. Integration with other RIP software, including Caldera GrandRIP+, is also possible.
