The festive setting is a tradition. On the evening of 6 November, the industry came together for the presentation of this year's display SUPERSTAR Award, the "Night of the Stars" at the Gesellschaftshaus Palmengarten in Frankfurt. That building's magnificent centrepiece is the historic ballroom, the Festsaal, whose incomparable ambience served as the backdrop for the presentation of awards to 38 winners.
Among them were industry greats such as Schoepe Display GmbH (1x silver, 1x gold), Authentica, s.r.o. (2x gold and a special award), WILLSON & BROWN (2x gold), Deinzer GmbH (1x gold, 1x bronze and a special award), THIMM Verpackung GmbH + Co. KG (1x silver, 1x bronze) and Halogenkauf Lightech GmbH (1x gold and a special award). The platinum SUPERSTAR Award went to HOHN Display GmbH & Co. KG. Recognised displays included products made for major brands such as Procter & Gamble, Nestlé, Bosch, Lamy and Radeberger. The event marked the fifth time the SUPERSTAR Award was presented during viscom, the International Trade Fair for Visual Communication, which featured 84 submitted products in a special exhibition. The SUPERSTAR Award is hosted and organised by display Verlag, a publishing house which earlier this year joined Mainz-based publishing group Edit Line. Main sponsor of the award is Hewlett-Packard GmbH, the corporate sponsors are Klingenberg GmbH and POS Tuning Udo Voßhenrich GmbH & Co. KG. The company took the opportunity to (re-)introduce itself officially to the guests at the award presentation. In all, more than 100 industry representatives celebrated the innovations of the past year – which were nothing less than visual crowd-pleasers.
