Roland DG exhibits innovations at Viscom

Roland DG exhibits numerous new products and solutions at Viscom in Frankfurt. Here the company will introduce its brand new monoFab machines to the German public. This series contains Roland's first 3D printer and a new desktop milling machine. A prominent place at the stand has also been reserved for the new VersaEXPRESS RF-640. And, on top of all that, the Roland DisplayStudio and the Roland Rental Programme will be introduced at Stand C71 in Hall 3.

monoFab series: The first 3D printer and new milling machine

With the monoFab family, Roland DG is the only company in the world to launch a series of 3D machines that work according to subtractive as well as additive techniques. With the new SRM-20, objects are created by removing material (subtractive) and with the ARM-10 by adding material (additive). Thanks to the choice of these two working methods, Roland DG can always offer the best solution for the customer's application.

The ARM-10 is Roland's first-ever 3D printer. It is the ideal machine for making prototypes for the testing of a design or a complex shape. The printer is equipped with a UV-LED lamp projection system and uses a liquid resin (Roland imageCure) to build up the shapes layer by layer. The resin becomes semi-transparent as it cures, and post-processing (support removal and polishing) is very easy.

The SRM-20 is the newest milling machine from Roland DG. This machine was developed on the foundation of more than 25 years of experience in the production of 3D machines. The main strengths of the SRM-20 are its excellent precision and the smooth finish of the milled surfaces.

The SRM-20 mills all kinds of materials which are commonly used for prototyping. Examples of compatible media are acrylic, ABS, wood and wax. It is the perfect machine for making extremely precise and perfectly finished functional prototypes of relatively simple shapes. The SRM-20 also stands out above the rest in stability and ease-of-use, which makes it the perfect investment for both professionals and hobbyists.

New VersaEXPRESS RF-640 four-colour printer

Roland's newest four-colour printer, the VersaEXPRESS RF-640, offers you superior productivity and reliability at an extremely competitive price. The RF-640 boasts the latest print head technology, it uses ECO-SOL MAX2 inks in four colours and it reaches print speeds of up to 48.5 m²/h.

The RF-640 is equipped with the new Roland Ink Switching System, which makes continuous printing possible. Thanks to this unique system, users can load a second cartridge that is automatically activated as soon as the first ink cassette is empty.

The user-friendly RF-640 is also equipped with the new Roland Printer Assist system, which allows printer functions to be operated remotely. With this intuitive new app, the user can monitor the printer status and conveniently control printing tasks from an iPad. The app is available free-of-charge in the iTunes App Store.

Roland DisplayStudio

Roland Display Studio is a complete and affordable, digital signage system. It offers everything a sign maker needs to create, implement and manage digital signage for the customer. DisplayStudio is ideal for shop displays, at events, in restaurants, in companies and so much more.

DisplayStudio contains content management software, a digital media player, montage systems and LCD screens. The software makes it possible to create presentations and to organize them in a play list in a simple manner. It also contains a series of professional presentation examples into which the user can quickly substitute his or her own text, photos and logos.

Roland Rental

At Viscom, the "Roland Rental" programme for the DACH region will also be launched. This system allows users to hire an inkjet printer at a fixed monthly rate, a solution which turns out to be very financially advantageous for many companies. Our rental programme also lowers the threshold for people who want to get started with large-format printing.

Starting at its launch at Viscom, Roland Rental will be available at participating dealers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
