By popular request, the German Packaging Award has extended the submission period until 10th August 2014. The German Packaging Institute wants to give participants from home and abroad the opportunity to register their innovation at www.packagingaward.com in plenty of time.
Under the patronage of the Federal Ministy of Economic Affairs and Energy, the German Packaging Award is looking for the best ideas and innovations from the packaging sector. The award is industry and material-spanning and is awarded in five categories. In addition, special young talent awards can be won.
An independent jury of experts from the industrial associations, research, education, media and industry will be reviewing the submissions depending on their category in up to 12 criteria that are weighted differently, but always considered together.
Participation is open to businesses, organizations and individuals who develop, implement or apply innovative ideas from the packaging sector. This may, for example, involve designs, machinery, packaging materials, packages, displays and application concepts. Seemingly small details are just as important as comprehensive solutions.
The winners will be awarded with trophy, certificate and seal. In addition to this, packaging award winners are also entitled to a nomination for the global packaging award World Star hosted by the World Packaging Organisation (WPO).
The award ceremony will take place this year on 11th September during a gala held at the BrauBeviale trade fair in Nuremberg, Germany.
