ANDRITZ Biax to present its innovative product range for the plastic film industry at IndoPlas 2014

International technology Group ANDRITZ will present its latest technologies and comprehensive system solutions for the production of biaxially oriented films at the IndoPlas trade fair (booth F30) in Jakarta, Indonesia, from September 3 to 6, 2014.

Thanks to its long-term experience in the plastics industry, ANDRITZ Biax is able to offer high-speed film stretching lines including a new automation system that integrates safety functions and advanced operator training capabilities. This stretching technology, the biaXline SEDYN, was developed for the production of commodity films and additionally offers state-of-the-art opportunities for the specialty market, such as capacitor film made from BOPP or BOPET.

For markets with high-value plastics films, ANDRITZ Biax developed a process called biaXline MESIM (MEchanical SIMultaneous). This patented stretching technology is used for the production of biaxially oriented films with special properties and outstanding quality. The user-friendly MESIM technology enables processing of high-temperature resins, such as PI, PEEK and PTFE, orientation of EVOH barrier film structures, and an extraordinarily wide range of shrink ratios. In addition, the innovative design of the chain clips system accounts for very high energy efficiency. MESIM is an ideal solution for growing market segments as LED screens, separator films, ultra-thin films for capacitors, or high-value food packaging
