Crown Reaches New Labor Agreement With International Association Of Machinists And Aerospace Workers

Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc., an affiliate of Crown Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CCK) (Crown), announced that it has reached a new multi-year labor agreement with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW), which represents the largest number of company employees in North America. The new agreement was passed by an overwhelming majority of the vote and affects more than 400 employees across five facilities in North America.

"Crown is pleased to have reached a mutually beneficial agreement with the IAMAW," said Raymond L. McGowan, Jr., President of Crown's Americas Division. "We remain committed to the long-term success and well-being of our workforce and our stakeholders. We are confident this new agreement will help Crown deliver the innovation, quality and service our customers expect."

The new agreement is effective April 1, 2014 and covers four CROWN Beverage Packaging North America facilities (LaCrosse, WI; Mankato, MN; Olympia, WA; and Lawrence, MA) and the CROWN Food Packaging North America facility in Omaha, NE. Two additional Crown food can plants, located in Oshkosh, WI and Owatonna, MN, are represented by the IAMAW and ratified new agreements of their own in 2013.
