Chinaplas: Highlights in Circular Weaving, Sack Conversion and Packaging Solutions

The Starlinger divisions textile packaging and consumer bags are presenting their latest technological developments at Chinaplas from April 23-26, 2014 in Shanghai. Innovations for woven plastic packaging include enhancements to circular looms, winders and conversion lines, and PP*STAR® pinch bottom sacks can now be made with an Easy-Open feature.

Ongoing technological development is a top priority at Starlinger. Accordingly, the main emphasis of the division Starlinger textile packaging at Chinaplas is on innovations in circular weaving technology.

Also, the new generation of twinTAPE 200LX winders for polypropylene and polyethylene tapes has been revamped for even greater efficiency and performance.

With the conversion line ad*starKON SX+ Starlinger sets new standards for the production of AD*STAR® block bottom valve sacks for packaging cement and similar dry bulk goods. The line achieves up to 100 sacks per minute and is also suitable for production of the new small-size *mini AD*STAR® sacks with a filling volume of 9

Easy-Open for pet food sacks

PP*STAR® pinch bottom bags, developed by the division Starlinger consumer bags and made from a lightweight, tear-resistant BOPP and fabric composite, can now be produced with an Easy-Open strip. PP*STAR® sacks are mainly used in consumer goods packaging for dry bulk products such as pet foods and animal care products, e.g. dry dog food or cat litter, but also for fertilizer, grains or rice. The new opening feature makes discharging the bag contents even more quick and easy.
