Following the successful performance of their first Certiwrap® C80 sleever, Lyons Seafood in Warminster, ordered a 2nd identical C80 machine, which has just been installed by Kliklok.
Part of the Labeyrie Fine Foods Group, Lyons Seafood is the UK's leading supplier of freshly cooked prawns, shellfish & other seafood, offering a variety of products from basic essential seafood ingredients to seaside favourites like cockles & mussels as well as the finest quality smoked salmon,.
Specifically designed for the prepared foods market, the C80 at Lyons Seafood is running three sizes of shaped pots with film lid, containing ready-to-eat prawn cocktail. Two of the sleeves are tapered, and one parallel - all running at 60 sleeves per minute.
Kliklok's range of Certiwrap machines includes the C80 and the C150, which offers a higher specification and increased speed capability of up to 150 sleeves per minute. As the range grew more popular with food producers, Kliklok introduced a variety of new infeed systems to accommodate the increasing variation in convenience food types and pack formats. There is now a choice of side chain infeed for regular shaped products, scroll infeed for round tubs or pots, 'Smartbelt' for frozen ready meals or pizzas, and a now a stacking infeed for multiple layers of product.
With over 90 machines from the Certiwrap range installed globally, this continuing success can be attributed to several beneficial features, including Kliklok's "quick change" feature. With our latest design a 3-dimensional size change can be done in 10 minutes, so producers can switch rapidly from one product line to another - we know that adaptability is essential in a busy production environment.
