Tribune Broadcasting Names Chris Topf Vice President And General Manager Of WPMT/FOX 43 In Harrisburg, PA

Tribune Broadcasting today announced the appointment of Chris Topf as Vice President & General Manager of WPMT FOX 43 in Harrisburg, where he will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the station, including strategic planning and day-to-day operations, with a focus on continuing the growth of the station's audiences and revenue. He will report to Kathy Clements, COO, Tribune Broadcasting.

Topf joins Tribune with 21 years of experience in the broadcast television industry, having most recently served as General Manager of Toledo's NBC affiliate, WNWO. Previously, Topf served as VP of Sales at Barrington Broadcasting in Illinois, overseeing 13 media markets. Topf also held executive sales positions at New England Sports Network, where he managed the inventory of the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Bruins, National Cable Communications, where he represented the sales interests of Comcast, Time Warner and Cox Media, and MMT where he led the ad sales efforts for the Post-Newsweek group of television stations. He began his media career at Katz Media in New York, where he was a research analyst.

"Chris has a successful history managing a television station and brings a strong background in revenue development in the broadcast television business. He will be a great asset for WPMT and a great addition to Tribune Broadcasting," said Clements.

Topf graduated with a BS from Fordham University in New York City, where he was born and raised. He maintains a very active role in community activities and service organizations, serving as a regional board member for Make-a-Wish, being a member of Toledo Rotary's Youth Service, Community Service, and New Member committees and coaching the Sylvania Mavericks travel baseball team. Topf is married with three sons, ages 13, 11, and 4.
