An important decision was made concerning the future of EAE Ahrensburg Electronic GmbH, Ahrensburg: The firm will continue. Insolvency administrator lawyer Peter-Alexander Borchardt (Reimer Rechtsanwälte Partnergesellschaft, Hamburg) received the creditors' unconditional endorsement for the submitted plan to continue the business.

The Ahrensburg control and automation specialist EAE filed for bankruptcy protection with the court in Reinbek in order to quickly reorganize and relieve the company of bad debt. During the proceeding, the business unit stage technology in Coswig was sold and the business unit switchgear technology will not be continued.

Because negotiations to purchase EAE Ahrensburg Electronic were not concluded successfully, the entire EAE Group has been in bankruptcy proceedings since December 1, 2013.

Restructuring in order to continue

Goal of the ongoing proceeding is a reorganization, i.e. selling the profitable core business. Part of that are the software control and automation solutions for the printing and automation industries. The court-appointed insolvency administrator lawyer Peter-Alexander Borchardt, had already been the administrator in the earlier creditor protection proceedings. He has now begun reducing personnel. 59 employees have received their layoff notices already, leaving about 100 employees at the EAE Group.

The remaining personnel in Ahrensburg will continue the core business. Specialists for the complete line of products and services as well as customer support will continue to be available for customers from the print, packaging and automation industries. Currently there are about 550 printers worldwide who work with control and automation solutions by EAE.
