Durst (stand 8B26) will launch its Tau 330 E at Labelexpo Europe. The Durst Tau 330 E is its budget priced, single pass, UV inkjet label press with new high pigmented UV inks for reduced ink consumption and is especially designed for the small and medium sized label converters.
Tau 330 E is a UV inkjet label press available in print width 200 mm or 330 mm, with four (CMYK) or five colors (CMYK+W) offering a print speed of up to 48 linear meters/min (157 ft./min) and the choice of two print resolutions, the standard print mode at 720 x 360 dpi and the HD print mode at 720 x 1260 dpi. The system has been engineered with particular attention to equipment cost while maintaining the market proven printing speed and printing quality of the Tau 330 digital UV inkjet product line. Additionally, its newly designed high pigmented UV inkjet inks provides a noticeable cost reduction, thus resulting in an improved TCO of the system.
Durst offers new options for the Tau 330 digital label press with the launch of the new industrial scale jumbo roll un-winder / re-winder, handling rolls of ø 1000 mm diameter or roll lengths up to 4000 linear meters for material widths up to 350 mm, thus facilitating uninterrupted print production of long print runs with less roll changes. For an easy and fast handling of large rolls, the un- and re-winder system features motorized loading and unloading of heavy rolls with a built-in roll lifter and is equipped with a servo drive to feed the loaded material in both directions.
Durst Tau 330 has been designed to integrate with a whole range of third party devices, such as conventional finishing solutions from various providers like Printum in Germany, which will be showcased in-line with the Tau 330 in Hall 6 Stand 6C63, demonstrating an impressive range of finishing options including print buffer, web turning bar, registered feeding of pre-printed web for "sandwich labels", delam & relam (printing on adhesive), multiple flexo printing stations, lamination and label dispenser, semi-rotary and rotary die cutting with sheet delivery, slitting unit and semiautomatic turret re-winder.
