An appointment at the Brau Beviale trade fair in Nuremberg (13-15 November 2018) with all the SACMI technologies for filling and labelling beer. A wide range of SACMI solutions will be on display at the European trade fair of reference for system installers in this sector (hall 7A, stand no. 323, 100 sq.m.), including latest-generation fillers specifically developed for this field.
Of particular interest, alongside the traditional fillers recognised and appreciated throughout the world, is the new SACMI system for combined filling of bottles (either glass or aluminium) and cans, the ideal solution for the emerging craft brewery sector. The new SACMI monobloc is composed of a rinser and a filler, which, thanks to a rapid format change system, can handle either bottles or cans, followed by a capper for bottles and a standard seamer for cans.
The idea of “two-in-one” filling is achieved thanks to an innovative “four-in-one machine block” (rinser + filler + capper + seamer). The system is highly versatile, and so SACMI has filed a patent request, with solutions from 12 to 50 filling valves and production speeds from 10,000 a 24,000 bph/cph in the 33 cl format.
Equipped with all expedients to ensure perfect beer quality – such as flushing and pre-evacuation – the SACMI filler is controlled electronically via flow meters, providing a very high level of hygiene, flexibility and ease of use by the operator. In accordance with the SACMI tradition, the monobloc is robust, easy to maintain and also compatible with the seamers produced by all the most qualified manufacturers.
In addition to the fillers, available with both electronic control (filling with flow meters) and electro-pneumatic control (level filling), in Nuremberg SACMI is presenting a wide range of labelling solutions and LVS positioning systems; an OPERA 400 MODUL 33T – high-speed and featuring modular plug & play technology - will be on show to highlight the enormous flexibility and extensive application range.
These include LabelCheck-360, the latest evolution in the range developed by the SACMI Automation & Inspection Systems Division, with a renewed structure (light alloy in place of the traditional stainless steel) and consolidated CVS360-3D software, allowing total quality control both of the label (presence-absence, orientation, faulty or mixed application, colour characteristics, etc.) and of the entire bottle body, including the cap.
The capacity of the system to efficiently identify all types of defects and to operate perfectly in line with the labeller makes the SACMI solution the ideal response to producers’ needs and the constant search for new solutions combining versatility, efficiency and total quality control.
Another key feature at Brau Beviale are technologies for the production of crown caps, a sector in which SACMI has been a world leader for over 50 years. These include the new PTC 600, the latest evolution in the SACMI range, distinguished by a productivity increase of over 20% (up to 6,000 caps per minute), superior product quality and functional solutions for safety in the workplace, such as the new system for feeding metal sheets independently from the press, which reduces noise and vibrations. Together with solutions for crown caps, SACMI is presenting its established range of CCM compression presses for the production of plastic caps, a technology with superior characteristics in terms of consumption, quality and process efficiency, successfully adapted by the Group also for the production of containers (CBF, compression blow forming).
