Rieke Packaging Systems is introducing a new user-friendly child resistant closure specifically designed for aerosols with 1" openings, and targeted at the growing automotive additives market. The new closure will be shown for the first time at Interpack in Düsseldorf in May.
The growth of special additives to improve engine performance and protection in both European and Asian markets is leading to the introduction of retail pack sizes, which necessitates the need for effective child protection.
The Rieke closure features an easy push-and-turn mechanism, which prevents access to the products by children but at the same time is easy to use for all adults, including seniors. The closure is certified according to ISO 8317 (child resistant packaging).
In addition, a pull-out plug seal in the closure provides tamper-evidence as well as ensuring a leak-free performance during distribution and while on-shelf.
The 32mm closure is injection moulded in polyethylene and is available in red and white. Special bespoke colours can be specified for large orders. An optional funnel is also available to help dispense of the product.
