Kush Bottles, North America's largest wholesale distributor of child-safe packaging for the marijuana industry, announced today that Colorado regulators are closely examining the packaging at marijuana dispensaries and taking immediate action that prevents sales in unapproved containers. Many dispensary operators are unknowingly using unapproved bottles, containers and packaging.

Kush Bottles has had their bottles tested by an independent accredited third party testing lab. The testing facility is one of the oldest and most renowned accredited facilities in the United States and has been conducting tests under contract with the CPSC (Consumer Protection Safety Commission) for 35 years, since the enactment of the 1970 Poison Prevention Act.

Kush Bottles Phillips pop-top bottles (13, 19, 30, and 60 Drams) have been tested and are approved for Child Resistance. Testing is in compliance with ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) standards.

"We urge all dispensary operators to do a fact check, and make certain that the bottles and packaging they are using meets all codes," said Nicholas Kovacevich, COO of Kush Bottles. "Colorado regulators are taking a firm stance on this issue and will take immediate action, including shut down, against dispensaries that do not adhere to packaging requirements."

Kush Bottles carries a large selection of pharmaceutical-grade bottles in both Pop-Top and Reverse-Cap configurations. Kush Bottles also has packaging and labeling materials that are state-compliant and have all necessary regulatory language.
