Konica Minolta enhances connectivity for customers with Kodak PRINERGY upgrades

Konica Minolta Europe’s customers in commercial printing, publishing and packaging will benefit from automation updates in an expanded partnership with Kodak now covering more products and software than ever before.

Kodak has announced enhanced connectivity for its PRINERGY workflow software used on Konica Minolta's AccurioPress systems driven by its Image Controller IC-604 or IC-605 and its AccurioJet KM-1 B2+ high speed flagship UV inkjet industrial press.

Deeper integration from PRINERGY 8.3 now enables Windows 2016 Server Support and a digital press colour management delegation within job ticket editor, which is a major benefit for true hybrid print operations. Print settings such as paper, number of copies and finishing options can be changed directly from Kodak’s PRINERGY 8.3.

The software – based on JDF – achieves a seamless hybrid workflow of offset printing and digital printing that is more user-friendly than ever before. This provides customers with a more efficient production environment and new business opportunities that take full advantage of on-demand printing.
“As we continue to grow in professional print and industrial markets, workflow and connectivity become ever-more important in our customer-centric approach. Through our combined expertise, PRINERGY 8.3 provides the industry’s most flexible and advanced digital hub for centralised management of jobs destined for proofers, CTP and digital devices. This workflow helps customers automate all aspects of their print operation across all areas of the Konica Minolta production portfolio. The reality today is that printers require ideas and business tools to help them capture these new market opportunities and grow their profitability,” explains Charles Lissenburg, General Manager Professional Print Divison, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe
