NATURAL RECALL GIVES NEW LIFE TO CALENDAR THROUGH THE SEASONS WITH CRUSH BY FAVINI

Natural Recall, conceived and organised by Co.me, creative studio in Treviso, and Gtower of Milan, is an international graphic communications project, dedicated to the relationship that links the plant kingdom and the human universe. Creatives from around the world participated in the study to depict humans affinity with nature through the language of art and creativity.

In celebration of the high quality of work created, a unique calendar has been launched highlighting contributions of 12 graphic designers. This gives a second opportunity to appreciate the work inspired by the project which is being exhibited at Serra dei Giardini of Biennale, in Venice, until December 28, 2014.
The sponsors, Favini, Ditre Group, La Grafica Faggian, Rigatoria Lughese and SD Laser, took care of all the details, from printing to choosing the eco-friendly vegetable inks – resulting in a premium calendar in line with Natural Recall's philosophy. The cover was produced using laser techniques.
The strong relationship with nature, that is the main theme behind the selected works, has been given added prominence by Crush, the paper selected for printing. In fact, Crush is the only paper made with process residues from organic products to replace up to 15% of virgin tree pulp. Nine shades have arisen from residues of nuts and fruits, culminating in beautiful colours for the surface papers.
Crush illustrates how by-products that are doomed to be dumped in landfill or used as fillers in animal food, fertilizers and logs for burning, can be transformed into an extraordinarily high quality product.
Taking this inspiration, the calendar cover has been made using discarded sheets of papers used during the printer setup process. Instead of being destroyed, these sheets have been reused to create an exquisite product.
