"RENAISSANCE FROM A CRISIS" BY FAVINI AND VENTIZERONOVE AWARDED TROPHY

The publication was awarded a prize at the European Design Awards

'Renaissance from a crisis' has been realized thanks to Favini's graphic specialties paper range and was awarded a bronze trophy during the ED-Awards, an annual awards programme for the best communication design in Europe.

The project came from the partnership between the creative agency Ventizerove, also the Nurant Magazine's founder, and the Italian communication agency, Leo Burnett. It's a collection of illustrations based on real life of everyday people and their reactions to difficulties. It shows how they reinvent themselves and implement changes in order to avert suffering and survive today.
'Renaissance from a crisis' is dedicated to creative visionaries and the techniques they use to guarantee a better tomorrow turning problems into opportunities. The development of new ideas is the key to survive.
The book has been produced using Dolce Vita, the paper that enables high definition print whilst maintaining the tactile characteristics of a natural paper, and Crush kiwi, the eco-friendly paper made using process residues from organic products that replaces up to 15% of virgin tree pulp.
Nurant illustrators that contributed to the publication include: Riccardo Guasco, Nicola Giorgio, Milena Cavallo, Massimiliano Aurelio, Valentina Russello, Roberta Maddalena, Andrea Mongia, Gianfranco Enrietto. Illustrators from Leo Burnett were also involved in the project.
Andrea Nappa, Favini Ceo, says: "We are enthusiastic about having been involved in a project that is based on creativity and innovation. These two values are the drivers that inspire our firm."
Nurant magazine founders, Sonia Mion, Nicola Iannibello and Sergio Caruso, remark: "We are enthusiastic about Renaissance from a crisis and our paper's choice. In fact, Dolce Vita allowed us to obtain that best print result to showcase our great illustrators' work. Crush was chosen not only for its appearance but also because it is made using process residues from organic products that replace a part of virgin tree pulp. The ecological paper is a wonderful idea that turns a problem into an opportunity just like our illustrators' ideas, that have been represented through illustrations".
