Digital signage is a medium of electronic display that exhibits television programming, advertising, menus, information and several other messages. These systems can be found in varied environments such as retail stores, hotels, restaurants, healthcare institutions, amusement zones to corporate buildings, among many others.

Digital signage has revamped the game of marketing, ensuring that enterprises can deliver information to their customers more effectively and also efficiently. Retail has been one of the fastest growing sectors in the Middle East, Africa and South Asian regions. 'Shop ME' a part of SGI Retail @ SGI Dubai 2015 will be an exclusive section in the show dedicated to retail ideas, concepts and solutions across all aspects of retail shopping experience,"
said Mr. Abdul Rahman Falaknaz, Chairman of IEC.

According to industry study, approximately 74% of all purchasing decisions globally are made in the stores where consumers are met with a host of digital and audiovisual messages.

"As far as UAE is concerned, there are many new malls and zones that are coming up and this will further grow the digital signage industry. UAE is poised to become a large hub for the digital signage market due to the exponential growth that the country is witnessing. Digital signage is definitely an integral part of the retail ecosystem and will surely revolutionise the industry. Similarly, a merchandiser without an 'augmented reality' feature will definitely lose out on the business from the early adopters of this technology - as this will become a necessity in the near future,"
said Mr. Sharif Rahman, CEO, IEC.

SGI Dubai is a place where exhibitors and visitors can interact with sign makers, print and production manufacturers, architects, media agencies, real-estate developers, brand and image consultants among others. It is a well-established 17 year old business forum which also includes seminars and workshops held by experts of the industry.
