Ricoh today announced that it has been selected by innovative IT and business software and services provider Agilisys as the supplier of production print services to Agilisys Document Solutions. The Ricoh approach will deliver greater efficiency and value for money, as well as lowering environmental impacts across the entire organisation.
With the objective of developing a centre of excellence for print in public services in the North West, Agilisys put together a procurement process focused on identifying a partner that could deliver on cost and quality for critical print and services beyond that. Samples were blind scored and Ricoh came first by a wide margin.

Ricoh digital production presses were installed alongside the latest Fiery Graphic Arts Systems from EFI and workflow solutions from NSI to support and improve the automation of document production and exception management. Critical printing processes are now more reactive to today's demands and, along with the wider range of new document finishing techniques and advanced high volume capabilities, Agilisys Document Solutions can open up its central print room to a wider range of document output services. Ricoh's local support infrastructure means that response times are cut from days to hours or even minutes.

A Grand Opening saw the Agilisys senior management team, partners - including Wigan Council - and Ricoh representatives, celebrate the launch of the new print room.
